Salary Range

$70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Job Description

The Senior Accountant is a member of the Finance team and will be responsible for various accounting and sales review duties. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the general ledger and financial reporting processes.    This role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain certain general ledger accounts through the processing of transactions in the financial accounting system, including cash and payables transactions as well as general journal entries
  • Purchasing/Vendor management support
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations as part of the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review sales orders submitted by the Company’s carrier and enterprise sales team for completeness and accuracy, and interfacing with sales executives to resolve outstanding matters
  • Assist in the Company’s collections effort, serving as a key member of a collections team who interface on a regular basis with many of the Company’s most significant customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding charges
  • Assist accounts payable team in routing invoices for approval and entering invoices into the accounting system, as needed
  • Serve as a key backup to many of the key duties of the finance/accounting department
  • Assist the senior finance team in producing accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and other recurring reporting as requested
  • Suggest and implement accounting processes, control procedures, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Interface with outside auditors for annual financial statement audit, as well as other vendors as required.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
