If you are a Maine resident, under the 2019 “Act to Protect the Privacy of Online Customer Information” (Maine Privacy Act), you have certain rights regarding personal information. The Maine Privacy Act requires Internet service providers like FirstLight to take reasonable security measures to protect a customer’s personal information and prohibits providers from using, disclosing, selling or permitting access to a customer’s personal information unless the customer provides express, affirmative consent to do so, subject to certain limited exceptions. A provider may not refuse service, charge a penalty, or fail to provide a discount based on the customer’s decision to grant or withhold that consent. FirstLight abides by a separate Privacy Policy, which you can access here.
