FirstLight Fiber has expanded its fiber optic network downstate toward New York City as it looks to grow beyond its current market. The Albany, New York, based company now has 260,000 fiber miles through five states including New York, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.
FirstLight provides voice, data and Internet services to health, government and education institutions and most major cell phone carriers. Customers include Albany Molecular Research Inc.(NASDAQ: AMRI), Hudson Valley Community College, the University of Vermont and others.
