ALBANY BUSINESS REVIEW – January 22, 2014 – FirstLight Fiber, an Albany, NY telecommunications provider, has hired Gary Kraemer as its new chief financial officer and senior vice president.
Kraemer previously was the CFO for Fidelis Security Systems who helped lead the company through an acquisition by General Dynamics.
FirstLight, formerly known as Tech Valley Communications, hired Kraemer to replace Sean Socha, who was credited for helping lead FirstLight into a strong financial position over the past three years. He is leaving to care for his extended family, the company said in a prepared statement.
Kraemer joins FirstLight at time of major changes for the company that included a rebranding and the retirement of CEO and co-founder Kevin O’Connor in October.
