Patrick’s panel is titled, Innovative Interconnections and Their Impact on Business, and will be moderated by Richard Lukaj, Senior Managing Director at Bank Street. Fellow panelists include: Najam Ahmad, VP of Network Engineering for Facebook; Frank Rey, Director of Global Network Acquisition Group for Microsoft; Gil Santaliz, Founder and Managing Member of the New Jersey Fiber Exchange (NJFX); and Richard Steenbergen, CTO of PacketFabric. The discussion will focus on the impact of growing dark fiber networks and how new forms of connectivity are impacting consumer and enterprise marketplaces. The panel will also explore the latest cross-connect methodologies as well as the benefits, future opportunities and challenges associated.
Patrick joined FirstLight in 2013 and is responsible for leading all aspects of sales and marketing to execute the company’s growth plans. That growth has been unprecedented during the past year, with acquisitions of Sovernet Communications and Oxford Networks. All of those companies now fall under the singular FirstLight brand. FirstLight now operates a regional fiber network serving customers throughout the Northeast, connecting more than 5,000 locations with an additional 20,000 locations serviceable by its 9,600-route mile fiber network.
