CHANNEL VISION MAGAZINE — August 15, 2013 — Tech Valley Communications (TVC) has received the New York State Public Service Commission’s (NYSPSC) Excellent Service Commendation for the ninth consecutive year. The commendation notes TVC’s excellent level of service the company and its employees have provided during 2012.
A fiber-based telecommunications service provider in Upstate New York and Northern New England with connectivity to Canada, TVC has earned the NYSPSC distinction every year since 2004. The NYSPSC has been recognizing local exchange carriers since 1988 for excellent service that is based on a providers’ performance in relation to service quality standards it has established. The criteria used to grant a commendation for excellent service includes an evaluation of customer trouble report rates, and are based on the low number of consumer complaints received by the Commission.
The NYSPSC 2012 Annual Service Quality Report found that TVC achieved a score of 100% on the Customer Trouble Report Rate (CTRR), and had a PSC Complaint Rate of zero for the ninth year in a row.
With its network operations and customer service center strategically located in downtown Albany, New York, TVC technicians are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the company noted.
