KurtFirstLight Fiber plans to buy Finger Lakes Technologies Group, a telecommunications company outside of Rochester, New York.

It is the latest in a series of acquisitions that are doubling the size and service of FirstLight of Albany.   Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Finger Lakes Technologies Group is a subsidiary of Trumansburg Telephone Company, or TTC. The company provides data, internet and voice services to business customers in New York and Pennsylvania.

In March 2016, Oak Hill Capital Partners, a Silicon Valley private equity firm out of Menlo Park, California, announced it was acquiring FirstLight Fiber.

As part of that acquisition, FirstLight gained more capital to expand its fiber optic network in the Northeast. It included two more acquisitions of Oxford Networks in Maine and Sovernet Communications in Vermont, which will merge with FirstLight Fiber.
